Tideswell Theatre has been bringing professional theatre, music and dance to the village since 2002. Audiences are drawn from the village and a wide area.

Tideswell Theatre is a leading promoter for Live and Local Shows, and increasingly contracts direct with other professionals.

Tideswell Theatre organises about 10 shows a year.
We've had music, dance and theatre: including Kathryn Tickell, Ashley Hutchings (pictured above),Cotton Grass Theatre, C-Scape Dance, Talia Theatre. We're one of the main promoters in north Derbyshire to bring east midlands leading touring company, New Perspectives, to the area. Unique events have included Ashley Hutchings' revival of his famous Cecil Sharpe show before it went on tour.

Tideswell Theatre also organises shows for Tideswell Wakes and Derbyshire Literature Festival (June); we're regular users of the Live & Local Big Top for these festivals (pictured below) as well as other venues.

Most years we also work with Bishop Pursglove School in Tideswell to bring a children's show to the village: Not Now Bernard and The Iron Man (both New Perspectives), and The Kam Tree - Moby Duck Theatre Company (2008).
